CDPH Issues Penalties to 10 Hospitals

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued 10 penalties today to 10 California hospitals along with fines totaling $618,002 after investigations found the facilities’ noncompliance with licensing requirements caused, or was likely to cause, serious injury or death to patients. CDPH Fines Contra Costa County Facility in Death of Resident

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced today that Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation – Walnut Creek, a skilled nursing facility in Contra Costa County, has received a Class “AA” citation, the most severe penalty under state law, and a $100,000 fine from the State of California.
