Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Advisory Committee
The Health and Human Services Agency is requesting nominations for individuals to serve on the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Advisory Committee. The Committee was established by Chapter 303, Statutes of 1988, to provide advice and assistance to the Administration and the Legislature in addressing the program needs and priorities of the Alzheimer’s population. Membership includes representation from researchers, medical and legal professionals, service providers, individuals and family members. Members serve on a voluntary basis and will be compensated for necessary travel expenses.
We are currently accepting applications and invite you to nominate persons who would be interested in serving on the Advisory Committee as representatives of:
The field of social research;
The field of mental health;
Alzheimer’s Disease Centers of California; and
Organizations providing services to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
Self-nominations will also be accepted. Individuals nominating themselves should provide a letter of support. Because the selection process is competitive, no nominations will be considered without a completed copy of the attached application and if needed, a letter of support. Resumes can also be included with the application, but are not required.
Please submit all materials by October 31, 2011 to:
